
Economic Value of Urban Design
The guest of our conference is İlir Nase. He will discuss how urban design influences economic growth, sustainability, and community well-being. The event will explore how smart city planning boosts property values, attracts investments, and creates lively, livable cities. İlir Nase will share insights from his research, illustrating the benefits of strategic urban design.

Ilir Nase specializes in real estate and urban economics, with a keen interest in the intersection of real estate and planning. His current teaching and research focus on real estate valuation, density economics, asset pricing, urban policies for economic development, and policy evaluation. Nase, has practical experience as a real estate valuer in Turkey and as a planner/urban designer in Albania’s local government. He has contributed to projects supported by the Joseph Rowntree Foundation on affordable housing in England and has collaborated with the Albanian government on drafting Tirana’s development plan as an urban economics specialist. He currently serves as a lecturer in real estate at the University of Manchester.
